Sections - organising and grouping screens within your project


Sections helps you organise screens and makes it easier than ever to communicate flows, journeys and ideas in Marvel! 


Creating Sections

There are 2 ways you can create sections in your project...
Selecting screens for a new section:
1. Hover over the screen you want to put in a section
2. Click the circle in the top left of the screen thumbnail so it is highlighted with a green tick
3. Repeat this with the other screens you want to put in that same section and click the blue 'create section' button
4. Repeat for other sections you want to create and Voila!
Split hints:
If you want to quickly divide screens into sections you can use the blue split hints that you can see when moving your cursor between screens.

Managing Sections

Section Titles
Once you have created your Sections, you can edit the name of each section by clicking on the title.
Section Options
On the right-hand side you will see an 'Options' button. Clicking this will give you a menu of options that allows you to
  • play the prototype starting from this section¬†
  • copy the link to the section
  • group select all screens in the section
  • delete the section
  • you can also collapse each section to keep your project workspace tidy using the - button


Moving screens between sections

To move screens between sections you can speedily drag and drop individual screens or drag and drop multiple at once by first selecting the ones you wish to move.

Adding screens to an existing section

Add new screens to an existing section by dragging and dropping the screen or by selecting the screen or screens > 'Add to section' > choose the correct section from the dropdown list.

Grid view

When you play your prototype via the shareable URL, you will be able to view the sections in your project quickly by entering grid view from the menu in the bottom-left corner navigation controls or by using the keyboard shortcut 'g' ūü§ď
